HISTORY

I have given lectures, taught classes, and conducted or facilitated workshops in:
Acting, Theatre, Speaking, The Internet, Journaling / Writing, Sailing, Health Care, Marketing, Spirituality, Women's Issues.

Alongside coaching others in their work, and co-authoring, I have written, rewritten and edited a wide variety of content as contractor, employee, and freelancer since 1975. Script doctoring and ghost-writing sometimes supplemented direct writing jobs and assignments.

Project lists include printed matter, websites, blogs and audio text - the subjects of which range from women's issues, performing arts, journalism, reviews, theatre, seniors and end of life issues, to sailing, cultural highlights, basic business, summations, philosophy, logs and other record-keeping.

Screenplay co-writer with Randy Leuthye: The Box Office Hit

I have been on many feature and short film sets, plus studio, TV lots, theatres.
Highlights include:

Led Quartz Mountain Films for production of 6 features and one documentary to be shot in Oklahoma. Established wide-reaching network with LA filmmakers, OK Film Commission, tribal leaders and affiliates, key personnel. Spent six months in all parts of the state, scouting, interviewing, and on fundraising efforts. Conceived, compiled and wrote volumes for packaging.

Producer, Khanum Khanuma Tea Commercial, DP - Daniel Karp, Director - Maryam Milani. Formed team, created budget, shot on location in LA. Overseas distribution.

Script Supervisor, Consultant to Director - Cinder - short film shot in HD; Julia Ling and Monty Fisher - Exec. Producers; Jason Jury - Director; starring Julia Ling, Jarrett Worley.

Assistant to Director, PR, marketing, stage and production management - Brethren of the Coast - Historical Pirate Theatre Troupe, periodic Feb 2005 - Fall 2008.

Associate Producer / UPM - Once Upon a Lifetime, Todd Kramer and Randy Hirsch - Producers; Randy Hirsch - Director; starring Michael Bergin, Ed Asner, et al - Nov 2005 - March 2006. Film postponed.

Costume coordinator/production assistant to stage managers - Hollywood Bowl Extravaganza Featuring Splash and Earth, Wind and Fire - October 2003.

Stage Manager - Celebration of Awakening - Pacific Asian Museum - 15 acts, plus six speakers. October 2004. Kathleen Pratt, Producer.

Previously served as Producer and Production Manager, Tour Manager, Stage Manager, Assistant Director, and various administrative positions for dozens of theatre companies. History includes many years in multiple areas of the performing arts since youth and years of research (online, phone interviews, and numerous other methods) assisting authors.

Assistant Managing Director and Tour Manager - Honolulu Theatre for Youth (HTY), Hawaii - 4+ years. Worked with Jane Campbell in this internationally recognized company. As Tour Manager, coordinated and implemented travel and daily performances for cast and crew of 35 on three-week annual event. Wrote materials for NEA grants, contributed to marketing content, trained staff, ran box office, maintained records.

Coordinated regional and educational programs for HTY, HSTC and Puma Dance Theatre, including casting and hiring paid staff, managing volunteers, overseeing and developing mentor programs, community programs and outreach.

OTHER WORK

Starpath School of Navigation, Seattle, WA -- Associate Director, 1992 - 1999. Worked with world renowned author and navigator David Burch, PhD. Responsibilities included running office, organizing events, scheduling classes, travel arrangements, dealing with vendors and subscribers. Managed incoming calls, program queries, tutored students, did extensive computer work, database setup and maintenance, proofing and editing of Director's books and software programs, testing, participated in sailing events and represented the company at trade and boat shows. Taught Inland and Coastal Navigation course. Became licensed USCG Captain, logging 17,000 ocean miles during sailing, yacht racing, and as sailing and navigation instructor.

KVVP Radio Station, Louisiana. Helped start radio station, wrote copy and produced advertising content, conducted marketing research, held on-air interviews, helped develop programming. Today, the company has expanded to 3 full-time stations.
